Cycling in Southern India is sensory overload. Technicolor saris, sadhus, honking horns, painted Tata trucks… The list is never-ending. Cows and scooters share the road, and don’t forget the “melodic” truck horns. The air is dusty and thick with cooking smoke. Children call out as you ride past. It’s no wonder that many cyclists have a love-hate relationship with the country.
